The River Market District
The Little Rock River Market District is the downtown area of Little Rock, Arkansas along the Arkansas River. Since 1996, it has become the cultural, social and corporate center of Arkansas’s capital city. It consists of the area east of Cumberland Street to the Clinton Library east of Interstate 30 and south of the Arkansas River to the Arkansas Arts Center, and to the banks of North Little Rock’s ALLTEL Arena. The River Market District is one of Arkansas’ fastest-growing tourist vacation destinations in the state and one of the most popular areas to live, work and play.

Since 1996, the District has transformed into a cultural, entertainment icon for the state’s capitol city, and an economic power hub for Arkansas. From major conventions, concerts, and sporting events to playing host to the state’s most-visited landmark – the William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park – the District has grown to be the heartbeat of downtown Little Rock. Nearly 1 million people visited the District in 2005, and with dozens of new shops, businesses, and restaurants opening each year, the best of the River Market District is what lies ahead.

Getting around downtown and the River Market is easy! Little Rock has three replica vintage trolleys operating on the 2.5-mile route. The River Rail route includes Alltel Arena, the Statehouse Convention Center, the River Market itself, both state houses, the historic Argenta neighborhood, numerous restaurants and hotels, the Historic Arkansas Museum, the Museum of Discovery, the main branch of the Central Arkansas Library System, two Chambers of Commerce, courthouses, the Robinson Auditorium Concert Hall, the Riverfront Amphitheater and more. Hotels that can be reached on the River Rail include the DoubleTree Hotel, the Capital Hotel, the Peabody Hotel (home of the ducks) and the Courtyard By Marriott.

See the beautiful Arkansas River from the decks of the Arkansas Queen. The view from the water shows you Little Rock and North Little Rock in an entirely new light. As the Captain narrates, you'll see the Clinton Library, the "Little Rock", the metropolitan skyline and the beautiful parks along the shore.
