Program Co-Chairs Michael Brophey, MD and David Blea, CNMT have developed an excellent program designed for nuclear medicine physicians, technologists, pharmacists, radiologists, oncologists, and scientists involved in the field of Nuclear Medicine. Individuals attending the course of lectures will be able to:
1. Review essential protocols involved in general nuclear medicine procedures, including brain and renovascular
2. Describe the latest applications of PET with an emphasis on cross-sectional anatomy correlation
3. Review integrated and other cardiac imaging techniques
4. Restate vital personal and inter-relational skills in the Nuclear Medicine workplace

Directly below the program schedule is important information regarding our Continuing Education Credits and our Call for Abstracts.

Continuing Education Information
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM) and the SW Chapter, SNM.
The SNM is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Society of Nuclear Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 18 category 1 credits towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Technologists - The Chapter has applied for 18 VOICE credits through the Society of Nuclear Medicine.

Pharmacists - CPE credits pending approval from the Society of Nuclear Medicine.

Call for Abstracts
The Program Co-Chairs are soliciting abstracts for poster presentation only. Abstracts may report on basic nuclear medicine science, research, clinical investigations, or interesting case reports. The selection will be based on subject originality, study design, and scientific relevance to medical knowledge. The reporting of appropriate data and conclusions in the abstract is critical to the selection process. Participation by residents, fellows, prractitioners, and technologists is strongly encouraged.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is Friday, December 29, 2006! Abstracts received by this date and accepted by reviewers will be published in a Spring issue of the Clinical Nuclear Medicine journal. To submit an abstract, simply email your abstract as an attached file to the Chapter office (cmetzger@swcsnm.org). Abstracts must be 250 words or less.
