Here is How It Works Technologists who wish to participate in the BLS HCP CPR renewal will enroll with the SWC for a fee of $20.00. Once you have enrolled, you will be provided a web address to complete the American Heart Association BLS HCP Renewal Course online for a fee of $17.50. This online renewal course teaches the same material as the classroom based course but allows you the flexibility to complete it at home or in the workplace and at your own pace. Topics covered include adult, pediatric and infant CPR in addition to AED use. The comprehensive modules with video guides and online assessments are a thorough review and preparation for the Skills Validation/Check that will be facilitated by authorized registered nurses. Once you have completed the BLS Renewal Course, you will need to print the completion certificate and bring it Friday to the SWC Fall Educational Meeting for the facilitated Skills Validation/Test. Your enrollment fee of $20.00 pays for this facilitated session. When you successfully complete the Skills Test with our Instructors, you will receive an AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider Card. The structure of the online course plus the skills test allows you to maximize your time so you aren't sitting in a course all day and all evening when you could be visiting the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio. we did at last year's Fall meeting, the Southwestern Chapter is offering
an CPR renewal session for technologists who need to renew their CPR but
do not have the resources, time and/or capabilities to easily do so. This
BLS HCP renewal course is through the American Heart Association and consists
of online modules for preparation of a skills validation that will be
facilitated by authorized AHA Instructors on Friday night of the SWC Fall
Educational Meeting..
Our
goal is to offer a service to the technologists who aren't able to complete
this recertification at their own facility. The total cost is $37.50 which
is a great price for the thoroughness and experience you will receive
with this session.We believe you will find this to be one of the best
CPR courses you have taken, but also the most interesting because your
time is spend truly practicing the skills since the information has already
